You want to learn how to do this, but so many website designers and managers want to keep you in the dark. It’s not as hard as you might think. My goal is to NOT keep you as a client unless you choose that. I love helping people stand independently and manage their own site confidently. Depending on your current skills it can take a couple of months to a year to no longer need my help. How hard we work determines how long it will take to get you on your own.

I use WordPress as a platform simply because it’s easier to learn and is getting more powerful with each version update.

Customized Template – $75.00

  • A template customized for your site. Available for WordPress only. Changes and support free for three months.
  • Extended Support & Changes for your template can continue for $9 per month. This includes tweaks and one complete overhaul (starting over) per year.

How does this work? Well, usually we’re on the phone talking or in person.  I upload some ideas to a test website and we talk from there.  I make changes and reupload.  We look at it, talk, you make more suggestions. I make changes and reupload.  A round like this may last as long as an hour, but usually a half hour does the job.  Then we both need to walk away and let it sit for a bit. When it’s ready, I send you the zip file and will walk you through the uploading process as needed.

Up and Running on WordPress

$300 for the first month for start up -  $150/mo thereafter – If you already have a website set up on WordPress, the first month start up fee is dropped to $200.

  • Website design & development
  • Customized template/graphic design
  • Individualized instruction on how to maintain and update your content
  • Assistance with set-up of website and domain name (I recommend Bluehost – their fees would be extra)
  • Learn what you need to know when you need it – just contact me and I’ll walk you through what it is you want to do or find the answer for you
  • SEO help
  • Start and stop as needed – purchase a month of help if you run into problems when on your own.

So, is this like consulting? Yes. While this focuses on getting your skills up to run your own site, we also talk about what your goals are and ideas on how to reach them.  Tell me what you like about other sites and I’ll see how to incorporate that. Free up your time to do the work you need to do – and learn as you go.

  • Let’s see what’s possible – it might take collaborating with a coder which would add her fees to the bill, but think out of the box and let’s see if we can make it happen.

  • Website design & development
  • Customized template/graphic design
  • Adding in content you provide or you and I work together to create (photography negotiated separately)
  • Oversight and training of key members of your team responsible for creating  and uploading content (if desired and if applicable)
  • Tracking statistics
  • Collaboration on a system to track and manage your online assets

This choice is for those of you who honestly don’t have the time to turn your website into an online marketing arm of your business. The list above is general – it all depends on your site, your vision, your goals. There will be quite a bit of communication needed especially in the beginning of our relationship, so plan for that.
